I drove to San Francisco for a one day travel expo, just for fun. I drove to the city the morning of the conference and toured the city a bit both before and after the conference. My three
favorite parts were the Golden Gate Park, where my new friend Jesse and I had lunch, the Coit Tower, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
One thing I would still like to do someday is to visit Alcatraz Island.
While I was walking around the top of Coit Tower, I saw people had tossed coins onto the window ledges. Though most of the coins are U.S., some of the coins are from all over the world. I happened to have a Romanian Ban in my pocket, and so I added that to the collection (between the penny and the dime).
I stayed the night at a friend's house (Thank
you, Alex!), and the next day before heading back home, I spent a couple hours viewing the Golden Gate Bridge. I'd never walked onto the bridge, though I had driven across it several times. It was a blast!
