More thoughts afterwards:

While I sat at Thoreau's Walden Pond homesite, I was struck again with how much I truly long to live out away from people among nature.  I envisioned myself living there where he lived for those two years, and I am sure I could enjoy that.  This is something I have longed for all my life, as long as I can remember.  Is it something that I can still do?  I hope so.

When I returned from my trip, I began looking for a place to call my own, somewhere I could live the remainder of my life, however long or short that my be.  I liked the New Hampshire area.  It is beautiful and not as busy and developed as other places.  I have also been looking again in Grants Pass, Oregon area, and I will see if I can get back up to the Bitterroot Valley of Montana to see what I mght be able to find there.
