| Happy Valentine's Day!
No, I don't have anyone to whom I can send flowers or candy. Oh, well, maybe someday. This week is passing quickly. It has been mostly good, but I still worry about having to move in two weeks. I am still rather bummed about the whole thing. Still, I am working on it. I bought a new battery for this bus today, and when I connected it, the engine turned over easily. Yay! I am quite confident now that I can get this bus started. I still have
to drop and clean out the gas tank and then blow out the fuel lines. I am hoping that after that, the bus will start okay. Otherwise, I will have to overhaul the carburetor (if it is leaking), change out the spark plugs, and probably give it a tune-up (which for this old engine consists of condenser parts for the distributor and using a timing light -- wow, I haven't done THAT in a very long time). I did all the laundry today, in case I am taking the washer and drier to
the swap meet Monday. I am thinking, though, that I might rather sell it locally. I can drop them off at Swallow's house and then advertise. I can probably get more money that way, but it will sell more quickly at the swap meet. Yes, I think I would rather hold out for a bit more money. The washer is really rather new. I went to the gym for the first time in nearly four weeks. I did about average workout, and in the same amount of time. I did
good. But I was more tired and sore than usual afterwards. I suppose that is to be expected after so long a time. Oh, and I still weigh the same as I did that last workout, which surprises me. I am very glad I didn't gain any weight while in Costa Rica and being lazy these past couple weeks. Work continues to be exceedingly slow. I had only one client for Tuesday (after computer club), one on Wednesday, and only one for tomorrow. But I also have one for
Saturday, a weekend day, when I charge more money and even charge for travel time. That will be a nice income. I am doing okay, but if work doesn't pick up fairly soon, I am going to be digging into savings for simple daily expenses. God has always looked after me and cared for me, and I am sure He is still in control. Saturday afternoon, Jason is hopefully coming over to help me drop the bus gas tank. Sunday afternoon, Dan is hopefully coming over to pack up
the truck to take things to the swap meet. A rather full weekend. I guess that's about it for now. Until next time -- Dave Clingman aka whstler | |
