I had never attended the Raymond Parade until this year. I have heard about it each year and wondered what it was. So I decided to make the half hour drive down the hill to the small town to watch it for myself.
Raymond is probably best known for its quarry. This is the quarry's entry into the parade. I appreciated the multitude of American
flags throughout the parade.
This little guy was a
crowd favorite. As he got going too fast, dad would pull back on the leash to keep him from running into others ahead of him.
At the other end of town, both before and after the Raymond Parade, there is a Crafts Fair. After the parade there are also some rodeo type events where anyone can pay to try their hand at riding a real live bull, or a sheep for the younger ones.
