This was the first time I have been backpacking in four years, the first time since my two foot surgeries.  It was so much fun!  It was good to get back into the woods again.  Dan and his son Kenneth dragged me out there for three days, and I loved every minute of it.

The weather was just wonderful.  It threatened to thunderstorm each day we were there, but we were spared.  We could see and hear the lightning and thunder and even see where it was raining not far away.

Of course, we had to go to my favorite spot, Lady Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, right next to Madera Peak.  I have been to this lake many times, and I never seem to tire of it.
