The Liberty Bell is another item that I have wanted to see for many years.   It surprised me how large it was, even though I am sure that I had seen photos of it when I was in school.

The crack that is most visible in this photo is not the crack that disabled the bell.  Instead, years after this visible crack was repaired, the bell again cracked.  This time the crack starts at the top of the large line visible here and continues around and up to the right and finally goes all the way to the top of the bell on the back side.

Independence Hall is where the United States Constitution was worked out.  The tour was free, but we still had to get tickets for a specific time.
