Since the casinos at Atlantic City, New Jersey are so much like the ones in Las Vegas, Nevada, and since I had been to Vegas so many times, the casinos were not the real attraction to me.  Besides, it was really Denny's idea to go there; so, it is all his fault!

We walked along the boardwalk for awhile to see some of the sights.  It was amazingly empty and quiet for a New Year's Eve.  Of course, we were there early in the evening, and most of the parties were really inside the casinos.

We also walked down to the beach for awhile.  I stepped into the Atlantic Ocean.  It is not that much different from the Pacific Ocean at this place.  I picked up a nice shell as a souvenir, and Denny put it in his jacket pocket for me.  (I want my shell back, Denny!)
