We headed over to The Ponderosa, famous from the filming of the television program "Bonanza".  We bought the breakfast package ticket and then took a hay ride up the mountain.  Breakfast consisted of pancakes, sausage and eggs, along with our choice of coffee, hot chocolate and orange juice.  It was really very good food.

After breakfast we rode back down to the set of the tv show and walked around for awhile.  We caught the show of the cowboy twirling his rope and guns and snapping his bull whip.  The cowboy was great to watch.  He didn't just do the twirling and all, but he talked about the Old West.  It was humorous how he tied everything into his stories.

After the show, we wandered more of the little village there, looked in the gift shops, bought a sarsaparilla (similar in taste to root beer), and then toured the Ponderosa house where most of the show was filmed.  It was interesting to see how small the house really is, even though they make it look larger by filming through sliding walls and hidden panels.
