Since purchasing the boat, he has enjoyed many hours improving his sailing ability, as well as working on the boat itself.  He sure does enjoy being out on the water.  I enjoy his smile as he works below decks preparing a meal or while he is working the sheets and tiller.

In November, my friend Marv bought a sailboat for himself for his birthday.  This is something that he had been wanting for many, many years, and he decided that it is finally time to fulfill this dream.  His new boat is 29 feet long.

Together we have explored much of the lake and canyon.  In some parts of the upper canyon, the winds fail, and we have to use the small outboard motor to move further along our explorations.  One time we ran out of gas and had to meander along with almost no wind until some jet skiers brought us enough gas to get us back to the docks.
