| Tim and I headed toward Jackass Lakes Saturday morning. After hiking about 1.5 miles, we arrived at Norris Lake and stopped for a rest. I fell asleep while Tim explored the lake. My foot
was bothering me, and so we decided to camp near this lake, rather than continue up the trail. I am glad we did for several reasons. First, the view of the lunar eclipse Sunday morning would be better from Norris than from Jackass. Second, it was quieter at this lower lake, with no one around. Third, there were no mosquitos near the lake or on the ridge where we set up camp. |
