We drove to Clear Lake for Jeffrey's July Fourth Barbecue.  I am not a party goer, and I haven't been to one in many years.  But this one was great.  It was simple and fun.  The people he had invited were all very nice people.

I had never previously had people walk up to me and introduce themselves and start up a conversation.  But prior to the party, Jeffrey had told everyone about "Mr. Internet" (me), and just about everyone had heard of me and wanted to meet me.  I admit it was both startling and enjoyable being the center of attention a little.

There was plenty to eat, nice people with whom to talk, a pool in which to swim, and even a D.J. to run the music.  After dark, we all walked around the corner to watch the fireworks that were shot off over the lake.  It was a fantastic view.  All in all, it was an excellent party, and I truly enjoyed the afternoon and evening there.
