It took about nine hours to drive from Fresno to Ensenada, Mexico.  I had never driven in Mexico, and I haven't been to Ensenada since I was a kid.  It was a wonderful trip, and I got to see and do many new things.

Friday night most of the stores closed early, so we wandered awhile before stopping for dinner.  I had enchiladas, and they tasted amazing, the best I have ever eaten.  But tell me:  How can cheese and tortillas be put together so that it tastes so different?

Saturday morning, we drove around Ensenada awhile before heading south to La Bufadora (The Snout).  The waters come up into a crevice so that they spurt skyward.  It is an incredible sight.  Along the road, there are many little shops, and we spent a couple hours meandering through them.

Sunday morning we left early, so that we could spend some more time shopping, this time in Tijuana.  The line to get across the border was about a mile long and took nearly an hour, but we were waved through after showing the list of items we purchased.

Saturday night's dinner consisted of seafood.  I wanted to try some new things, but I also didn't want to starve.  Seafood is not my favorite type of food.  I tried both Lobster (take it or leave it) and Escargot, aka sea snails (no thanks!) for the first time.  I settled for the breaded shrimp, about the only sea food other than tuna sandwiches that I like.
