Each year Teri prepares a birthday dinner for me. She really goes all out with this, in a modest way. I very much enjoy this tradition. To her, birthdays are always a grand event, even though we both are getting older each time we celebrate one. *smile*
You can't have a birthday party without a cake. This year, she placed WAY
too many candles on it, so that it looked like it was going up in a blaze of glory. Okay, I admit it: she actually did place just the right number of candles for my years. *sigh* This cake had crushed Snickers bars on top. It was very tasty.
One of Teri's favorite things are helium filled balloons. She always has plenty of these at parties. With her vaulted ceiling, it is fun to have "balloon races", to see which balloon will spin its way to the center first. Of course, the fullest balloons almost always
win. And a party at Teri's house is not complete until people have sucked the helium out of a balloon and talked like Mickey Mouse. It is a riot!
