T.J. Arrives

Teri drove T.J. through the ranch gates at 2:30pm on Saturday, December 4, 1999.  I was so excited, I could hardly contain myself. 

This was the first horse of my very own.  All these years of wanting a horse and never dreaming I could actually own one!

Teri also brought another of her horses along (Spirit), so that we could ride together.  After unloading the horses, even before letting T.J. see his new pasture, we saddled and went for a ride.

We rode from one end of the property to the other at an easy pace.  We stopped by the old Chapel, so that Teri could see inside of it for her first time.

Needless to say, I am glad to have T.J. here.  All the work during the past days preparing his corral is now paying off.   I have a horse of my own!  I am already so attached to him that I just know it is going to hurt when he leaves this next spring or summer for his new home in Clovis.  But for now, I am the proud owner of one T.J., the horse!
