It was an amazingly windy walk. I enjoyed the wind very much; I always have. I found that
I had no problem walking with the wind blowing, but when it let up a bit or when we went behind a rock which blocked the wind, I nearly fell over.
On New Year's Eve, Corey and I hiked out to the Point Reyes Lighthouse. I had hoped to see my first real life whales, since they often travel just beyond the point, but I was still pleased with having been able to see this historic lighthouse.
It is only a half mile walk, but there are three hundred eight (308) stairs going down to the lighthouse plus a few steep ramps. It was really quite a walk.
The view from the point up and down the coast was rather impressive. To the north, the bluffs stretched
as far as the eye could see. To the south was rocky coastline.
