Ansel Adams Wilderness Lady Lake Cove2, Yosemite backpacking

Ansel Adams Wilderness Lady Lake and South Ridge2, Yosemite backpacking

After approximately six miles of hiking, Lady Lake is attained!
This is a very beautiful lake, and very popular.
When I arrived here this trip, however, there was no one else anywhere to be found.
This is probably due to the fact that it was after the "summer" was over, it was the middle of the week, and there was the possibility of rain in the forecast.

I set up my tent above the lake and back among the trees.
I truly enjoyed the fact that there were NO mosquitos.
(Actually, I did see two skitters during the trip, but neither of them seemed to be interested in my blood,
which is very unusual.)
I do not often use a tent.  I prefer to sleep out under the stars.
However, since it was later in the season and rain was a possibility,
I decided to take it and use it.
I am glad that I did.

Here are some more pictures of Lady Lake.
