Comments: Hi Dave: My name is Jimmie. I like your style of living. I live in Reno and volunteer at the zoo full time. I helped build the zoo 11 years ago. We had some bulk candy vending machines but they were used when I got them and they only survived about 3 years of abuse from the kids and animals. lol I may want to put 3-4 back in again. Could you give me the name of the place where you got yours at the discount price? Well I will quit here. Have a great life. Jimmie

Comments: Hi, Dave -- Absolutely superb! Loved the Jackass Lakes hike. Great photos!! Wish I could take my peanut butter sandwich and go, go, go. I did make it the 100 miles around the Sierra Vista National Scenic Byway (traveling in a van) last summer. Not the preferred way to go, but it was a good substitute to shoe leather for me. From North Fork 100 miles up toward Jackass and around to Bass Lake would make a long, interesting hike, but we went by road instead. Thanks a bunch for the YLP Computer Club pages. You put a great deal of effort into them and it shows. Jacki

I used to backpack a lot, and natural history has always been the driving force in my life, but because of business obligations, I haven't been able to do much in the last 15 years or so.  Comments: Dave: Kirk here. I checked in as you suggested in your e-mail. Wow! Great
photos. The first day looked like you had really good weather. Beautiful clouds and blue sky above gorgeous mountains. I thought it looked somewhat familiar and then when you said it borders Yosimite, I knew why. I've been to Yosimite (several years ago now). I stayed in their tent camping area and hiked up and down 5,000 feet in one day with a friend of mine. It was spectacular and so beautiful. Your pictures are very good. I used to be a Boy Scout in my youth (I even made Eagle scout). One scout trip took me hiking and camping in New Mexico at the Boy Scout Ranch, Philmont. That was some rugged hiking and camping. Had to watch out for bears! These days, I'm afraid I'd be more of a fair weather camper, but your adventure looked like fun. Your camera takes good shots. Did you have a mini tripod to get yourself into your pictures? They were great. I look forward to seeing the new photos --- I'll stay tuned. Til later, Kirk

Next time you come I will have my room clean I hope. I wasnt to clean it tomorrow, but that may just be a dream. Do you know how much school "SUCKS". I thought that I should tell you that. I was taking IB biology. They said about 10 hours a week of homework not including weekends. That was enouth for me, so I changed to physics. Oh by the way they gave me FIVE text books, and they were not small!! I have to go now to move my plane, and get some food to eat. Have a good night, because I think it will be later in the day when you read this. I guess that I will hit the tab key now, so bye
